Day Trips School visits to local museums and places of interest are an integral part of our curriculum at all levels. Every class will have a trip once a term. The cost of these day trips are included in the fees.
We organise Residential trips in the third term of each school year. These are an important part of the school curriculum. Students develop their social skills by spending time away from home for almost a week. Residential trips have a separate charge and are not compulsory.
Students from Classes 4 – 7 share a 4 day trip within Belgium. This year the students will go to Flipper, this is an outdoor education centre located at De Panne, by the Belgian seaside. It is surrounded by the Calmeyn Wood and the Oosthoek dunes and is set in a unique natural environment. We plan to visit Flipper from Monday, 19th to Thursday, 22nd of June. During our visit the students will have the opportunity to visit Plopsaland, visit the beaches and dunes at De Panne and take part in many fun and educational activities.
This year’s MY and IG1 residential trip will be to Ieper for two nights and three days. This is an historic World War 1 site celebrating the 100th anniversary this year. Students will visit Sanctuary Wood, Hill 62, Tyncott and Langemarck cemeteries, In Flanders Fields museum, Talbot House museum, the Last Post Ceremony, and the surrounding coastal areas and dunes. The trip will be from 12-16 June.
Students aged 15-18 had the option of going to Bilbao for the MUN Conference in January 2017.
We provide a variety of lunchtime and after-school clubs each half term. These clubs are open to students of all ages priced between 5-7 euros a session. We currently offer Yoga, Football, Basketball, Badminton
Taekwondo, Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Music, Spanish and Dutch.
This gives students the opportunity to practice their performance skills. The choir rehearses once a week and performs at school assemblies. We also participate in the Annual International Primary Schools Choir Day.There is no charge for choir participation.
Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 15:30-16:30 the school provides free of charge a Supervised Study Area. The class is supervised by a teacher every afternoon. The teachers assist students where possible and provide a quiet and supervised environment to work. Students not collected by 16:30 will be taken to Garderie.
