Invitation ISF Waterloo (1)

Following unprecedented success last year, ISF Waterloo is continuing with a series of inspirational talks and presentations.  We would like to personally invite you to the first of these special events on Thursday 3rd of March.  Back by very popular demand this year is Professor Piet Van De Craen with his new talk:

From unconscious to conscious learning and back – The miracle of multi-language learning.  “The miracle of language learning has surprised throughout the times, yet it is only recently that we are beginning to understand what is learning exactly. This talk will explore how and why humans learn so much and what educators, parents and caretakers can learn from these insights.”

Professor Van De Craen is a world expert in brain development through multilingualism.   He is Secretary of the European Language Council and Professor of Neurolinguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.  This promises to be a truly fascinating talk, focusing on multilingualism in children.   This is particularly relevant for anyone living and working in Belgium’s international environment and bringing up children who speak more than one language.

Please feel free to invite friends and colleagues to this event.  Given Belgium’s multinational and multilingual environment we know many people will find this both interesting and relevant to their own family situation so please pass this invitation on and if possible place on relevant notice boards at your place of work.

We do kindly ask that you RSVP by 26 February either via email:office@isfwaterloo.org or telephone: 02 358 5606.  Please note that only people who have pre-registered using either of these methods will be allowed entry to attend on the night.  ID’s will be checked upon arrival.  We look forward to welcoming you then.
