PTA (Parent Teacher Association)

Joining the school PTA is an excellent way to meet new friends and mix with people from different cultures. It is also a fun way to try out new language skills.

The PTA is an integral part of school life, working closely with the School Leadership Team to continually improve school communications and build a solid community.

The PTA organises social events for students and parents as well as raising money for extra school equipment.

The PTA consists of an organising committee led by the PTA President. The committee is assisted by a Class Representative from each year group. These representatives organise after school class events, mentor new families to ISF and occasionally assist the class teacher. They also notify parents of school closure due to extreme weather conditions.

Regular meetings are held in school in order to discuss and organise PTA events. Meetings are held at 14:00 Tuesday once a month. This year some of the PTA events include: International Day Buffet Lunch, Pizza lunches for students, Movie Nights, Winter Show Reception, an Egg Hunt, Bake Sales, Secondary Dance and Summer Fair.

We encourage parents to help and be involved.  For more information, or to find out how you can get involved, contact the PTA Committee at pta@isfwaterloo.org
