I was born in Panama and moved to Belgium in 2002. I have been teaching and having fun in international schools for more than 14 years. I enjoy baking, practising yoga and sharing the joys of life with my two young sons and husband.
Originally from Spain I have been living in Belgium for the past 5 years. I have a degree in Primary Education and I am a Spanish teacher. I love reading and travelling and I have lived in different countries like Poland, U.S.A, Spain and currently Belgium. I would say one of my favourite things is meeting new people and learning about different cultures, I think it is the best way to grow as a person. This and my love for children are the reasons why I am very happy to be part of ISF Waterloo.
French from Paris, I’ve taught French, Modern Literature, Philosophy and History for the past 20 years in Paris and abroad. I love spending time in class, and I think that teaching is a work of the heart. I enjoy Classic Rock music, movies, Baudelaire, Voltaire, Sacha Guitry and Oscar Wilde.
I have more than 19 years teaching experience in private schools in Australia and Belgium and in the last 6 years I have been in leadership positions. I have also been a curriculum developer for the Ministry of Education in Victoria, Australia. I have always been and continue to be involved with a variety of Educational organisations such as Junior School Heads Association of Australia (JSHAA) and Council of English Speaking Schools in Belgium (CESSIB).
I have been in Belgium for ten years, I have a Masters and a degree as well as many sporting qualifications such as FA Coaching, FA Refereeing, skiing and P.A.D.I Scuba diving. My main passion is playing, coaching, refereeing and watching football
HI, I’m Bob Cavanagh, I have taught in the UK, South America and Africa and although born in London, traveled widely with my parents. I have lived in Belgium longer than in any other country and think of here as home. I am teaching A Level Maths and Physics. I follow yoga and can often be found at Beer Festivals and wandering around looking for GeoCaches.
I started teaching French as a foreign language to the little ones in Kansas-City, and I enjoyed it a lot. This is why I’m now enjoying doing the same with ISF Waterloo’s younger students.
I am originally from Leeds, West Yorkshire in the UK and have taught in a number of diverse schools in England. I enjoy every sport imaginable especially rugby and cycling. I love music and play the guitar and bass. I have many other interests such as writing, hiking and enjoy experiencing as many culinary delights as possible.
Originally from Yorkshire in the UK, I have been living in Belgium for the last 9 years. My interests are broad and varied, they include Art & Design, Music, Sport and Military History. In my spare time I volunteer as a teacher at the OCMW where I teach pensioners about British Traditions and Culture.
I was born and grew up in Copenhagen. I moved to Belgium in 1993 and worked as a school bus driver and maintenance worker. I returned to Denmark for 4 years and set up my own company and then decided to return to Belgium to continue my previous work. I have two lovely children and enjoy bowling and making sculptures. I enjoy working with iron and on roofs; the higher the better.
I have been in Belgium for 9 years. l hold a Masters of Administration. I am enjoying ISF’s multicultural environment. As part of administration team I assist the staff, parents and students. I like doing outdoor activities with my kids specially cycling and hiking.
I am originally from Nigeria, I have been living in Belgium for more than 20 years. I obtained my teaching qualifications in England where I also taught Mathematics for more than 5 years in a number of Secondary Schools.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, cooking, swimming, travelling and spending time with my family.
I grew up in South Africa where I earned separate degrees in Education and English Literature and Literary Theory. After completing teacher training in England I moved to Belgium to earn a Master’s degree and have since joined ISF as an English and IELTS teacher. As a citizen of both South Africa and The Netherlands I am excited to be a part of a multi-cultural educational institution such as ISF and I look forward to contributing to the rich diversity the school has to offer.
Karen Sanchez, Class 6 Teacher I was born in Mexico City but I am a Polish national as well. After graduating, I began my teaching career as a primary school teacher, but also taught English to young children and adults. I lived in Poland for 13 years and worked as a teacher in Wrocław and Warsaw. I moved to Belgium and begun my adventure at ISF Waterloo last year. I enjoy teaching and working with children of various ages. I enjoy learning languages and look forward to learning French. I love reading, meeting friends and travelling to new places, though I spend most of my time with my family. I have two girls who keep me really busy when I am not at school.
Originally from the United States, I started my teaching career in my home state of Arizona. I then decided that I wanted the experience of teaching students in an international environment. I have taught in international schools in Lithuania, Germany and here in Belgium since 2010. I enjoy travelling, reading and spending time with my husband and two daughters.
I am from Denmark. I have worked with children for more than 16 years. I really enjoy working with students from all over the world.
Educated as a carpenter in Copenhagen, I moved to Belgium in 1991 and started my own DYI company. I have a passion for coming up with solutions for any problems, the more difficult the better. My interests include golf, cars, architecture, the weather, traveling, life and my job.
I started my teaching career more than 20 years ago in the USA. Back in Belgium I worked in several types of schools, including international and European schools. I also worked in businesses. I started teaching at ISF in 2005. Since then I have taught French, EAL, class 3, class 7 and Business Studies. I earned a PhD in 2012 and have become an accredited Mediator in Belgium in 2016. I enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds. I am very happy to be part of the ISF Community.
An American born in Paris, I have taught in the USA, Thailand, Indonesia, South Africa, and now Belgium. Despite my 15 years experience, I still find myself astounded by what students can achieve. Helping people learn is my passion, and I look forward to doing so here at ISF.
Originally from Belgium, I had the chance to teach in various schools in Belgium, Louisiana and recently in different International Schools in Brussel. Being an immersion teacher in the USA gave me my first opportunity to work with children who don’t speak any words in French. Now, as a teacher of a second language, I enjoy teaching students to develop greater fluency speaking in french in my own country. I am glad to be a part of ISF Waterloo team this year. It’s always for me a fantastic opportunity to work in a multicultural environment which is always personally enriching.
Half-Lebanese, half-Trinidadian with a Franco-American education, my background is in engineering as an architect, public speaking coach and social worker volunteer. I like to bring out the practical aspect of science in everyday life.
I am Belgian and after earning my teaching degree I worked in the States for eight years. I worked in Louisiana, Boston and Seattle. I am very excited to be part of the teaching team at ISF and work with such as diverse and international community.
Originally from Finland I have been living in Belgium since 2008. I enjoy travelling and reading, and have a special love for arts and crafts. A good challenge makes my day.
As I decided to start my teaching career abroad I moved from Croatia to Belgium in 2016, right after earning a Masters degree in Primary Education and English language. I like travelling and meeting people from different cultures which I believe is the best way of broadening my horizons. I also have passion for crossfit and basketball. As an enthusiastic teacher committed to meeting the learning needs of each and every student I believe ISF Waterloo is the best place for me.
I was born and raised in the Chicago area, and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English/Education with Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certification at St. Olaf College. I spent my first year of teaching in Shanghai, instructing students age 5-25 in English and Drama. This will be my second year living in Belgium and teaching at ISF Waterloo, and I am looking forward to a great year with students in my History, Extra English, and Drama classes
I am originally from the Wirral in the UK and have been living in Belgium now for twenty years. I have been interested and active in a variety of sporting and adventurous activities for most of my life. Mainly sailing, cycling and walking now. I have been teaching in a variety of schools for over twenty years but was also an Outdoor pursuits instructor before becoming a teacher. I gained my teaching degree at Liverpool John Moores University. I love doing crafts, sewing, knitting, and the like, read lots, and enjoy gardening.
Born in Gloucestershire, I started teaching in Hampshire in the late nineties. Life and work since then have brought me to Brussels via south-west France. Five years’ teaching international students in the “capital of Europe” has been exhilarating and immensely satisfying. I firmly believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience and I look forward to putting that into practice at ISF.

I am an Irish National who moved to Belgium 8 years ago. Having studied Microbiology at university, I subsequently worked for 7 years in the Research and Development of new biosensors for diabetics at Abbott Diabetes Care in the United Kingdom. I then completed Primary Teacher Training at Oxford Brookes University. I am an avid follower of all sports and particularly enjoy playing football.
Originally from Dublin, I have been living in Belgium for 14 years. Before coming to ISF Waterloo I worked for a number of years as a legal secretary in Brussels. I enjoy reading, travelling, music and spending time with my family.
Tahlia De Corso, Music Teacher Originally from Australia, I have been living in Belgium for the past 3 years. I have a teaching diploma (Music) and a Masters degree in Music Performance. Before moving to Belgium I had been teaching Music in schools for 4 years. Aside from this I was also an active member of the music scene in my hometown, Adelaide. Along with the piano, I have a passion for singing and theatre. I enjoy teaching music and hope to spread my love of music to the students here at ISF Waterloo.
