Extra Curricular Activities

Day Trips

School visits to local museums and places of interest are an integral part of our curriculum at all levels.  Every class will have a trip once a term.Img 2175

Residential Trips

We organise Residential trips in the third term of each school year. These are an important part of the school curriculum. Students develop their social skills by spending time away from home for almost a week. Residential trips have a separate charge and are not compulsory.

Last year upper Primary school visited Domaine de Mambaye (http://mambaye.be/fr). Domaine de Mambaye is an outdoor education centre located in Spa, in the Ardennes. It is set in a unique natural environment that allows students to participate in a wide range of sport and nature activities, as well as in excursions to caves and historical landmarks.

Secondary students will enjoy the benefit of either an adventurous camp where students can enjoy experiential learning activities, hiking, raft-making, orienteering, archery etc.; a cultural and historical discovery of a new city or country; or an action-packed skiing trip!  The students have a strong voice in determining which residential trip will take place.  Residential Trips are open for the entire secondary school, for all students from Year 7 to Year 13. These trips always prove to be an unforgettable experience.

Students also have the opportunity to take part in an exciting Model United Nations programme, and we try to visit at least one European country each year.

School Clubs

We provide a variety of lunchtime and after-school clubs each half term.  These clubs are open to students of all ages priced between 5-7 euros a session. We currently offer Yoga, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Taekwondo, Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Music, Spanish and Dutch.

Swimming

All students from Year 1 to 6 attend swimming lessons for one term per year.

Primary Choir

This gives students the opportunity to practice their performance skills. The choir rehearses once a week and performs at school assemblies. We also participate in the Annual International Primary Schools Choir Day. There is no charge for choir participation.

Supervised Study

Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 15:30-16:30 the school provides free of charge a supervised study area. The class is supervised by a teacher every afternoon. The teachers assist students where possible and provide a quiet and supervised environment to work.  Students not collected by 16:30 will be taken to Garderie.
