On Friday 2nd October, MY 2 and 3 visited the Royal Botanical Gardens in Meise as part of their work in Geography on ecosystems. We had two wonderful guides who took each group around the glasshouses so the students could see the plants from a rainforest and a desert. The students worked hard completing the tasks set and were busy all day drawing and making notes of plant adaptations. The students also had the chance to carry out some experiments too, looking at, reflection of sunlight and its effects on cacti, surface area and volume, shape and sunlight and the porosity of soil types. They were also shown the world’s largest seed. A fabulous day and a great deal was learnt.
