Studying Rates of Respiration Watching the plants grow! Biology AS level students today conducted an experiment where they investigated the uptake of water by the stem of a plant. They investigated factors such as leaf area and wind to measure the rate of transpiration in a plant.

Book Fair Tomorrow- 30 January to finish off a successful Book Week

The children have enjoyed Book Week so far this week.  This year the theme is ‘The Battle of Waterloo’ to kick start our participation in the bicentenary celebrations of the battle.On Tuesday the Primary and Middle Years students also enjoyed the visit of Priscilla Howe an American story teller.

On Saturday, 6 December 2014,  ten ISF Waterloo students from IGCSE and A-Level took ISF Waterloo donations to Plaisirs de Servir and then participated as volunteers in Serve the City’s Big Volunteer Day. This Friday 19 November is a teacher inservice day at ISF Waterloo.  Fifteen of our staff members will be flying to Nice, France to take part in the ECIS (European Council of International Schools) annual conference!

ISF Students read at Flemish Parliament ceremony to commemorate WW1

This Friday- International Day

The ISF community is made up of 35 different nationalities.  On Friday 17 October we will celebrate this with our annual International Day.  Parents and Students will take part in special activities for the day including our International Buffet Lunch.  The theme of this year’s activities is Art- ‘Colours from around the World’.

Movie night at ISF breaks our record!

Friday10 October, 75 children came together in the ISF Sport Hall for Movie Night.  Students from both Primary and Secondary enjoyed coming to school at night in the pj’s to eat pizza and watch a movie.  Thank you to the PTA for organising another great community event.
